Biography
Natalia Luzenko was born in Russia and later grew up in Germany. Natalia began studying communication design in 2008, at the Faculty of Design department of the University of Applied Science Wurzburg. Natalia’s goal is to achieve her Master of Arts degree, with a focus on photography. Natalia tends to be most interested in people as her muse and subject matter.  Photoshop has become an important tool and aspect of her work, as she uses it to push boundaries between what is real and familiar, with what is unreal or unexpected. Natalia challenges herself to utilize the ordinary as inspiration, then recreate or redefine her subject matter, sharing her fantasy world with her audience.

Communication objective
My series "to wait and see" is about my affinity to tea. In this theme, tea is brought into a different light. The subjects were each portrayed to corresponded to a unique accessory of tea, creating a symbiosis of the tea to the subject. Each were interdependent on one another, needing the other in their association. The subjects' identities became unimportant, while the everyday images of tea, emerged to become the focal point and to tell a new story.

Tools used
I used Adobe Photoshop CS4 to create illusions and to alienate reality. I began by retouching the portraits and blemishes, to obtain a clean and perfect look. For every finished photo, several images were used and combined, through layers and layer-masks. To get clean transitions between the layers, I used several functions: transparencies, filters, blending change, transform/scale, clone stamp tool, and brush tool. The finishing touches on the photos were color correction, including selective color, saturation, dynamic, and a bit more sharpness.
